New “Running Mates” podcast focuses on U.S. Presidential Elections

Today is launch day for “Running Mates,” a limited-series podcast presented by Dakota Town Hall and featuring Town Hall host Brad “Murdoc” Jurgensen and this blogger.

Two years ago, I was a guest on 11 episodes of Dakota Town Hall, talking through the history every South Dakota governor, from Arthur C. Mellette to Kristi Noem. The following year, we added a 12th episode on Dakota territorial governors. You can find those here.

The new podcast is a similar format, as Murdoc and I talk through every U.S. presidential election. The first episode begins with the Constitutional Convention of 1787 and then discusses the first four elections, which elected George Washington, John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson. That episode is 50 minutes and I estimate the series will ultimately be 12-15 episodes.
