The Legislative Research Council, for years, has maintained the Legislator Historical Listing, which is a searchable database of every person who has served in the South Dakota State Legislature or the Dakota Territorial Legislature.
As part of the 100th Legislative Session commemoration this year, the LRC partnered with the State Archives to add legislator profiles to the searchable database. This includes the printed profiles from the Biographical Dictionary of the State Legislature, which was printed in 1989 for the State Centennial, and from every Legislative Manual, or “Blue Book,” since 1991.
