South Dakota Law Review focuses on Ravnsborg impeachment

Volume 68, Issue 2 of The South Dakota Law Review is out, and it features numerous articles on the impeachment and removal of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg. (Update: The entire issue is now posted online.)

The South Dakota Law Review is a student-led publication of the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law. The latest edition features ten special articles by those who participated in the impeachment process.

Among those contributing articles are Rep. Will Mortenson, who first raised the impeachment issue and filed impeachment articles in 2021 and again in 2022; Sen. Lee Schoenbeck, who as president pro tempore of the Senate spearheaded planning for the state’s first-ever impeachment trial; and Legislative Research Director Reed Holwegner.

Among the other contributors are legislators including Rep. Mike Stevens, Sen. Art Rusch, Sen. Tim Johns, and Rep. Ryan Cwach, and the prosecutors from the impeachment trial, Mark Vargo and Alexis Tracy.

The entire issue is well worth the read – it is available for order at the USD Law Review website.
